Software for the AKC Pointing Breed Field Trial and Hunting Test Secretary

Toby Two BallsField Event Software is an application that organizes and eases the tasks of AKC Field Event Secretaries as they prepare, participate and complete AKC Pointing Breed Field Trials and Hunting Tests.

Field Events allows you to define an event, accept entries, generate running orders, print hunting test score cards and worksheets and print event catalogs for reporting to the AKC. Entry data can be retrieved from prior events speeding up the data entry process.

It is written for Windows XP. It has been tested on a Windows 2000 box but that is it. If you plan to using Vista, there are no guarentees. I understand it works but I haven't tested it. It requires Microsofts ODBC Driver. Other then that, it is a compact application. It installs with a typical Windows installer program and includes UNinstall features.

  • Random running order generation. Including a second pass for bitches in heat. Brace swapping for better handler multiple brace draw.
  • Multiple handler support. Add the scout and be sure they are not braced together.
  • Entry fee paid / not paid reporting.
  • Two possible formats of printed running orders.
    • Optional inclusion of dog's parentage. Optional inclusion of DNA and QOL for National Events.
  • Judges catalog for signatures. Optional "Print at Event" only including placed or qualified dogs.
  • Hunting Test score cards or Field Trial Judge book labels.
  • Qualifier / Placement reporting and text file for emailing.
